More last minute drama
Today I was doing a (nerdy) trial run of packing all my bags. I’m blown away that everything is actually going to fit! It wouldn’t have come close to be a problem if I didn’t have to lug a full suit (including shoes) with me to Egypt!
I recently bought a 32gb SD card for my camera after my boss, Jim, told me I would probably take way more than 600 pictures (how many fit on a 4gb). I bought the new card on my way home from work on Friday at the Hunt Club PCCyber. So today as part of my trial run I wanted to make sure the new card worked…. NOPE. I put it in the camera and it immediately complains that the card is write protected. I figure there must be some switch I have to move… can’t find one. I search online and find out my brand new SD card is broken and is missing the stupid switch.
After a panicked call to PCCyber to see what their Halloween hours are and wasting all sorts of time basically driving to work on a Sunday (YUCK!), I managed to get them to exchange it for me.
Just goes to show that you shouldn’t assume things are going to work and that you should always test them before heading abroad!
